Abu Dhabi to get Ferrari Theme Park!

Ferrari is developing what may be the new “end all, be all” of automotive adventure — the Ferrari Theme Park, scheduled to open in 2009 on Yas Island, just a 30-minute drive from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The $40 million project promises to offer up everything from roller coasters to a pit-lane team experience, go-karts, virtual reality racing simulators, a racing school, and a g-force simulator that helps laypeople experience the forces felt by race car drivers. An interactive museum will also be at hand, particularly useful for cooling off and waiting for your raging endorphins to ebb.

In addition to the park being a sweet tourist destination for gearheads, the economic benefit will be a great perk for Abu Dhabi, which is currently trying to lessen its economic dependence upon the oil business.

June 2010….Its coming faster then you know!

Midwest Motor Club Talks With Knick Jimenez

Photobucket

There is a powerful buzz going around the internet theses days about websites dedicated to the lifestyle of automotive enthusiasts.  On the throne of this buzz sits 3 entrepreneurs Knick Jimenez , Raymond Lyle,  and Ramin Arami. MWMC sat down with one of the kings and had a little internet chat about the dynasty that is LUXURY4PLAY.COM.

MWMC: How did Luxury 4Play come to be?

KNICK: The world of internet forums was thriving by the time i arrived,
however many of them lacked the true creative essence of “social networking” outside in the real world.
There were sites that we liked a lot but they didn’t care about its members nor did they care about expanding out into real life social events.
Quite honestly I was tired of all the 1/2 ass sites, web forum dog piles, threads about politics and religion!
My partners and I were fed up with owners and moderating bullies hiding behind their keyboards…
We are simply 4 friends who tried to create a site like no other.

MWMC: What’s your vision for Luxury4Play?

KNICK: Plain and simple, good old fashioned entertainment!
An online community close knit, full of information and fresh content!
Not only a gathering of like minded individuals but family oriented people who enjoy the luxury lifestyle.
Without question L4P has already surpassed my initial vision.

MWMC: What does Luxury4Play look like in 5 years? where would you like it to be?

KNICK: I’d like to see L4P as a presence not only at every major automotive event but a name that is synonymous throughout Automotive social circles.
The branding potential is vast.
We have already had success w/ our clothing line, Social events/parties, Regional car gatherings, Track Days and The Gold Rush Rally.
The trick isn’t to have 60,000 random members as soon as possible and 10 billion unique hits every quarter
but rather to grow adequately in quality thus not to alienate the members i like to call O’G’s.

In the very near future we will be launching a few more sister sites that cater to different audiences!

MWMC: Why do you think L4P is so successful?

KNICK: I have to say our branding and appearance set us apart right off the bat from anything that is remotely similar!
We are NOT just about Cars, L4P is about the whole picture (Lifestyle)
My partners and i have created a new “lifestyle” market.
We Understand these markets, and most importantly we ARE these markets!
Lots of time, money and energy has gone into making L4P safe, comfortable and fresh!

MWMC: What s luxury4play owners backrounds?

KNICK: Our backgrounds couldn’t be more different, but really we have an amazing crew!
Ramin’s expertise lies is in company branding, Identity and WebDesign.
Raymond Lyle directs the sales and marketing strategy…
Alex is our IT guy who wears many hats, and in a way he is the backbone/MVP of L4P.
Me, i just work here. . . this isn’t something i do, it’s who i am.
L4P has the best Moderators,
Daily we have help from an amazing group of hard working volunteers and a devoted street team that gets our name out in every city near you!

MWMC: If you could sum up L4P in one paragraph what would you say about L4P?

KNICK: It ain’t about me, what i own or how i got it!
. . .without it’s members Luxury 4 Play would be another bullshit .com website floating alone without clicks in the vast universe of the world wide inter web.
It’s truly like family!
L4P.com is Entertaining and Full of Life!

You DON”t have to own a Ferrari to be a member,
as long as you appreciate those Ferrari’s, or appreciate anything creative, as long as you have dreams, passions or goals!
If you strive to take your family to a higher place, and better yourself for the sake of the people around you THEN YES!
you are welcome to join/participate on L4P!

MWMC: How many servings should one consume of L4P??

KNICK: take 2 and then login the morning!

MWMC would like to thank Che Jimenez and ITz Kirb for supplying Great pictures. We would also like to thank Knick for taking time out in his crazy busy life to sit down and take  the time to chat with us. After talking withKnick, Ray, or Ramin you will not wonder why these guys are so successful.

Smooth Shifting!

I Tell ya what I recently talked with someone who interviewed the founder of chic-fil-a and he asked the founder what makes you different then everyone? the founder said “stop planning!”" Know the end goal and find a way to get there.”  That just what this drive was .We planned the destination and found a way to get there successfully! This was a great drive with great cars and great people! I cant ask for more then that!

Keep it Tuned,
